Decorex Highlights

Our pick from a very successful and enjoyable Decorex!
First stop...the Walcot House stand, the centre piece dresser was a huge hit!

Not to mention the cake (Sam's favourite part of our stand) supplied by our talented local Cotswold bakers, Blake's Kitchen

Rather like moths to a flame we were all drawn to the various lighting exhibitors - displaying such a range of creativity and innovative use of materials.
From the colourful glass lanterns by Curiousa and Curiousa, Tom Raffield's designer 'pumpkins' to hand crocheted artisan shades by Naomi Paul.

Further down our aisle we found gorgeous woven textiles by Eleanor Pritchard, we think her selection of warm autumnal colours go rather well with our contemporary style hand dyed twine bobbin finials.

Nice to see some fellow Cotswold companies braving the bright lights of a London show including our Rapture and Wright buddies, Peter & Rebecca.  Beautiful hand printed fabrics in trendy greens, soft pinks and greys, the perfect complement to our forthcoming Woodstain Pole Set Collection.

Subtle geometric patterns by Teasel England...
And for something truely unique (with a little industrial flair) we loved these pieces by Original House...

Pinch was a firm favourite for their high quality finishes and sleek designs...

And to finish here are some pieces that made us go 'ooh' and 'aah'...
Delightful glass 'pebbles' by Ochre Design..
...the exquisite handmade bench by Mark Laban.
Keeping it 'au naturel' at Indigenous with a vast collection of flooring and wall products...
...and beautifully designed contemporary furniture by Benchmark, the epitome of British craftsmanship, right up our street!

Measuring Guide

What curtain pole length do I need?

Walcot House measuring guide for curtain poles

Measure the width of your window (cm)

Add a minimum of 15cm either side, preferably more, but for full curtains or wide windows allow at least 25cm if you have the room, excluding finials (decorative pole ends).

Choose a stock length or cut to size yourself for non standard lengths (we promise it's really easy!)
Helpful tip: Ensure there is room for your finials beyond the ends of your pole.
