Nowhere to fix your pole other than the ceiling? The increase in large floor to ceiling windows & bifold doors has meant that traditional curtain poles are often unviable, and the only option is an unsightly track. Walcot House have now provided an innovative alternative for you.

Our unique system, with integral bracket plates hidden discreetly within the pole, allows a flush fit to the ceiling, giving you a more decorative option available in a vast choice of finishes. The wooden pole is hand wrapped in textured fabric, giving a luxurious finish.

The 50mm diameter (2 inch) motorised curtain pole set comes complete with hidden brackets, gliders and bronze or steel end cap finials. We supply one glider for every 8cm of curtain track, and you can choose from standard gliders or our ripple heading gliders.

The electric curtain pole is powered by a discreet & quiet Somfy motor, allowing you to operate your curtains using your chosen controls. Ideal for hard to reach or heavy curtains where hand drawing is not practical. How you control your curtains can include a remote or wall switch, smartphone/tablet, Amazon Alexa, Google Home or your preferred home automation system.

The motorised curtain track is cleverly hidden behind the curtain pole, and is strong enough to support the weight of thick, heavy, lined and interlined curtains, as used by the top end interior design industry. The track is slightly curved back to the wall where the motor sits, completely hiding the motor without interfering with the curtain pleats. The wooden curtain pole is beautifully hand wrapped and available in a vast selection of luxury finishes.

Choose from 3 motor types (hard wired or battery) depending on how you want to power and operate your curtains. The reliable Somfy motors have a 5 year warranty for peace of mind.

Each pole set includes:

  • Brackets (roughly 1 for every 50cm of track)
  • Standard or ripple wave gliders (1 gilder per 8cm of pole)
  • Tracks over 250cm will have 1 Join cover
  • Tracks over 600cm will have 2 join covers

Irismo RTS Battery Powered Motor
  • Completely wireless battery powered motor with RTS receiver.
  • Easy installation as no wiring needed.
  • Suitable for curtain weights up to 45kg.
  • Rechargeable lithium battery lasts approx. 9 months between charges using the charger included.
  • Includes Touch-motion feature, allowing you to operate your curtains by hand with a slight tug to start the motor.
  • Controlled using a supplied wireless RTS single chanel wall switch (remote control devices can be purchased separately here).
  • Additional ways to control include smartphone/tablet, Amazon Alexa and Google Home automation when paired with a Somfy home hub, sold separately by Somfy here.

Glydea RTS Hard Wired Motor
  • 240V powered motor with RTS receiver.
  • Includes Touch-motion feature, allowing you to operate your curtains by hand with a slight tug to start the motor.
  • Controlled using a supplied wireless RTS single chanel wall switch (remote control devices can be purchased separately here).
  • Additional ways to control include smartphone/tablet, Amazon Alexa and Google Home automation when paired with a Somfy home hub, sold separately by Somfy here.
  • 1 metre cable supplied from motor.
  • Suitable for curtain weights up to 60kg.

Glydea WT Hard Wired Motor
  • Powered and controlled via the 4-core 240V AC supply cable, with 2 directional lives, neutral and earth (electrician required to fit)
  • Allows you to integrate your motorised curtain track directly into your chosen home automation system such as Control 4 or Lutron
  • The supplied 4-core cable to be wired directly into a 240V AC switched live control unit such as a blind or curtain controlling relay or a hard wired switch (not supplied).
  • 1 metre cable supplied from motor.
  • Suitable for curtain weights up to 60kg.
  • Touch Motion not compatible with this motor - available with RTS or Irismo motors only.

Remote Controls

Easy to program handset can be used to operate a group of poles simultaneously or individually. Compatible with RTS motors only.

Extension Arms

Extend your bracket projection by 5cm, allowing room for radiators, sills, architraves or blinds.

Support Arms

Attach to your interim brackets for a stronger wall fixing. Recommended for heavy curtains or if extension arms are used.
